We decided on a graphical Table of Contents to emphasize a unique, hands on approach

Sample of the my many illustrations throughout the book.

Each chapter heading was a unique pastel tint. The star figure, played a prominent role throughout the book

My task was to take the rudimentary sketches that the author provided and create a graphic system of illustrations and color, that would build consistency across the entire book.

The pages would come to me in Word docs, to set approximate page relationships, text colorization and typography requirements of capitalization, em-spacing, etc.
I was able to create type wraps and a host of special production effects using InDesign.
The final chapter acted as a summary addendum, to recap lessons from earlier in the book. It was an encyclopedic culmination of 50 years of Organizational Learning and Teaching, by Mr. Walt Hopkins. It took approximately 2 years to complete with nearly 7 rewrites to attain the quality that Mr. Hopkins felt he wanted to convey.
This was an interactive Poster to be used with the course exercises. The towers had to be wide enough to accommodate sticky notes. I wanted the integrity of the illustration to remain intact, so we found translucent sticky notes, that students could fill out on a pad and place on the poster as shown below.
